About Us

We are a mother daughter team who share an appreciation and passion for the Pointer.  It has been a childhood dream of mine to one day be involved with this incredible breed since I first laid eyes on the most beautiful black and white male pointer owned by my aunt.  They instantly became my favorite breed by the age of 12.  I was blessed to own my first pointer when I was 21 and she was by my side through my college years, marriage and the birth of my 2 daughters.  It was her incredible loyalty, athleticism, smart, goofy character and gentle ways that I can now never live without.

 

My husband and I own and operate a small hobby farm in Astorville (Northern Ontario), where our pointer family flourishes along with a few horses and chickens.  It is with the support of him and my mother's knowledge and experience that I am now able to fulfill my dreams of owning, showing and breeding these gems.

"For the love of the pointer" means we strive to preserve and protect one of what we believe to be the dog worlds best kept secret.  We breed to the CKC breed standard with exceptional temperaments being paramount. Our dogs are each an important member of our family and it is our goal to protect and promote the poise and grace of this breed so that others may enjoy them as much as we do.
